Seven Months Old!!!

As of today our little man is 7 months old! Hard to believe, isn't it?! Well, it is for us! He is just waayyyy too much fun too! :-) Not a lot has changed from his "What I can do now" update for 6 months aside from he is rolling all over as his mode of self-transportation. He doesn't have very good steering yet, but hey...at least he's moving and that's all that matters to him right now. :-)


He and TheDude are getting more and more buddy buddy. TheDude will hang around long enough for The SB to pat him or grab an ear or something and TheDude good naturedly pulls away and lays on a big sloppy kiss before he gets out of baby-reach. :-)


T-Dawg is getting better and better around him as well. I can tell he doesn't make her as nervous and she's figured out that it's easy to stay far enough away from him so she doesn't get touched. :-) Though she has let him touch her a couple times...she's still not sure what she thinks about that and of course it's always under close supervision by the Mommy. :-)

RomRat is not smart enough to figure out how to stay out of reach so I have to keep him away because he gets close enough to get his lips/ears/skin/eyes poked/pinched/pulled and he doesn't respond very favorably. He hasn't dared offer to snap, so nobody worry about that...he just doesn't get that HE can move to stay away. :-) Cute, but not smart...

The SB pushes up on his arms really well now and if he could figure out how to get those knees under him, he'd be off! It won't be long before we need to drop the mattress in his crib to a lower setting! He also rolls ALL over the crib and is usually completely backwards from how I laid him in it by morning!

(Complaining just a little bit...)

He must be in a growing spurt because he hasn't been sleeping through the night lately like he was before. And he is usually up for a solid hour sometime in the middle of the night...he entertains himself for about half an hour and then decides he is hungry and gets fussy so I go feed him and he usually sleeps well into the morning. So we're still all getting good long periods of sleep...just not straight through!

(Here he is in the middle of one of his famous proclamations..."yahhh-yah-yah-yaaaaahhhh")

He and I have been busy shopping at Target and making cookies and baking muffins and doing laundry and stuffing his cloth diapers and talking to Nana and Granny M both today....it's been quite a busy day!
